A Day to Experience True Japanese Beauty. A Special Location Found at Higo-Hosokawa Garden
- PLAN Please tell us about the plan you used.
- POINT Please share your feedback and what you liked about your photoshoot at Wedding Avenue.
- Even though we didn’t shoot during the autumn foliage season, my red iro-uchikake stood out beautifully against the green scenery, which was amazing. I found a kimono I truly loved, so the photos turned out wonderfully. We shot the white shiromuku in the Japanese-style room, and the atmosphere changed completely from the outdoor shots. Being able to wear and photograph two outfits was really great.
- REASON Please tell us the reason or occasion for your photoshoot at Wedding Avenue.
- We absolutely wanted to do our pre-wedding photos outdoors, and we also hoped to take photos in traditional Japanese attire, preferably in both an iro-uchikake and a white shiromuku. While searching for a plan that would allow both, we found Wedding Avenue’s “Two Kimono Location Plan,” which seemed very reasonably priced.
We wanted to shoot in a place that felt genuinely Japanese with a traditional atmosphere. When we looked through the location examples on the website, we immediately felt, “This is it!” and chose Higo-Hosokawa Garden. The impressive gate, the charming bridge, and the large pond stood out to us. When we visited the garden in person, we felt even more certain that this was the right place. Having a tea house on-site was also a wonderful point. - FROM

It was an honor for our entire team to share such a special day with you in the calm and historic atmosphere of this beautiful garden.Higo-Hosokawa Garden is a serene and elegant location that hardly feels like it is in the heart of Tokyo, and it is truly one of the best places for traditional Japanese attire to shine.
The gentle reflection of the pond, the classic Japanese architecture, and the seasonal colors of the trees blended perfectly with your elegant kimono styles. Each scene that unfolded before us felt like a moment straight out of a film. The soft smiles you shared, the warm glances exchanged during breaks, and the way you stood together all created moments filled with sincerity and tenderness.
