Wedding Photos at Hamadera Park – Famous Rose Garden & Sunlit Seaside

Hamadera Park is one of Japan’s oldest parks.

It features a beautiful pine grove selected among Japan’s 100 most famous pines, a large pool with a slide, and a vivid rose garden.
As a comprehensive park for leisure, sports, and outdoor activities, it is loved by many visitors.

In the rose garden, you can capture colorful photos with a variety of roses. Beyond the pine-lined embankment, the sea stretches out, allowing for sunlit seaside photography.

① The Rose Garden with a Noble Fragrance

The blooming rose garden is a signature scenic spot of Hamadera Park.

Spanning approximately 2.5 hectares, the rose garden was completed in 1993 as part of Osaka Prefecture’s “Flowerful Osaka Project.”
It features five zones designed like a traditional Japanese strolling garden, pathways, and European-style “townscape” areas, offering a charming blend of styles.

With about 400 species and 6,000 rose plants, including wild Japanese roses and modern roses, you can enjoy roses with all your senses.

② “Date” Photos on Benches in the Garden

The rose garden has plenty of benches where couples can sit and enjoy natural, relaxed shots.
Rear-view shots like the one shown are also stylish and highly recommended.

The roses bloom twice a year: spring (early May – early June) and autumn (early October – early November).
The rose garden is open from mid-March to mid-December, so please plan accordingly.

③ Beneath the Expansive Sky and Greenery

Beyond the pine-lined embankment lies a seaside with a wide, open view.
You can enjoy photography using natural light in a calm and gentle atmosphere.

Outside the rose garden, pets are welcome.

④ Sparkling Water Surface with Sunlight

The top recommended spot at Hamadera Park is the shimmering water and seaside.
The waterway along Hamadera changes beautifully with sunset or nighttime lighting, offering a unique atmosphere compared to daytime.
It’s also a quiet, hidden spot with very few people.
