Pre-Wedding Photos at Fujita Teiato Park

Fujita Teiato Park is a garden located on the grounds of the former residence of Denzaburo Fujita, entrepreneur and founder of the Fujita financial group.

The residence itself, once considered one of the largest and most prestigious examples of “modern Japanese-style architecture,” was unfortunately destroyed during the war.

In 2004, part of the vast estate was restored as a Japanese garden that preserves the natural landscape, opening as Fujita Teiato Park.
Today, it is a beloved retreat for Osaka citizens of all ages.

Though compact, the park is filled with countless photo spots.

At the southern entrance near Osaka Castle Kitazume Station, you’ll find the impressive front gate.
It gives you a sense of the grandeur of the former residence.

Even more remarkable, this gate survived the war and still stands as it did in the past.

As a strolling-style garden, photos can be taken while walking through the grounds—almost like enjoying a date walk.

This serene atmosphere makes you forget you’re in the middle of a big city.

In autumn, vibrant foliage makes this spot especially popular.
Since it’s something of a hidden gem, you can take photos without worrying too much about crowds.

In addition to autumn leaves, plum and cherry blossoms in spring and fresh greenery in summer create year-round seasonal beauty.

At the center of the garden stands the tea house, Kousetsuan.
It is a reconstruction of Kai-an, one of the tea rooms that once existed in the original Fujita residence.

Although you can’t enter, you can sit on the veranda for photos, capturing natural, relaxed moments together.

This tahoto (multi-storied pagoda) was relocated here in 1916 from Kodai-in Temple in Mt. Koya, Wakayama.
It adds an elegant, Kyoto-like feel to your wedding photos.

In 2022, it was officially designated a tangible cultural property by Osaka City.

Stone bridges within the garden provide another picturesque backdrop.
Together with the lush seasonal scenery, photos here are full of atmosphere.

Add a Japanese umbrella, and the result is even more striking.

When fallen leaves cover the ground, it looks just like an autumn carpet.
Capturing the moment you toss leaves into the air makes for a playful “autumn shower” shot.

In front of the tea house, you’ll find a small waiting bench tucked among the trees.

Next to the park is the Fujita Museum.
The museum’s white wall, combined with bamboo shadows, creates an artistic and stylish photo background—quite different from natural scenery.

It’s a surprising bonus to be able to capture such a look inside a Japanese garden.
