Osaka’s Symbol, “Osaka Castle”

How about capturing your pre-wedding photos in traditional Japanese attire at Osaka’s landmark, Osaka Castle?

A pre-wedding shoot at Osaka Castle Park offers a uniquely Osaka backdrop with the majestic castle in view.

You can also enjoy the beauty of nature alongside the castle—whether it’s plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, azaleas, or colorful autumn leaves—in the gardens surrounding the main keep.
Enjoy a wide variety of scenes at Osaka Castle Park!

Experience breathtaking shots that combine the grandeur of the castle with the beauty of Japan’s four seasons.

① A Picture-Perfect Location Right From the Entrance

This is the approach path leading to the Otemon Gate.
Even from the entrance, the scenery perfectly complements traditional Japanese attire.

The pine trees lining the path add an authentic Japanese touch to the scene.

② The Grand Entrance, Otemon Gate

Standing solemnly as the face of Osaka Castle is the Otemon Gate, designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

As the main entrance to the castle, Otemon is characterized by its large, black, heavy presence and intricate decorations.

Beyond Otemon Gate, the Sakuramon Gate awaits, offering a direct view of the castle keep.

③ Walking Along the Castle Path

This is the walkway leading toward the main keep, past the gates.

The pine trees on either side beautifully frame the path, enhancing the elegance of your traditional attire.

Although steeped in history, Osaka Castle Park is also a popular tourist spot, with well-maintained paths throughout its vast grounds, making it easy to navigate.

④ The Imposing Main Keep

The main star of the location—the Osaka Castle Keep.

Capture a powerful and historic moment with the castle towering impressively in the background.

Built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Sengoku (Warring States) period, Osaka Castle has witnessed major historical events, including its fall during the Siege of Osaka, reconstruction by the Tokugawa shogunate, destruction during the Meiji Restoration, and later park development after WWII.

⑤ Along the Moat with the Castle in View

This is the South Outer Moat of Osaka Castle.

The stone walls stretch approximately 2 kilometers, forming the Ninomaru Water Moat from the Otemon Gate to the Tamatsukuriguchi Gate.

The vast moat and towering stone walls create a dramatic, memorable backdrop.

In spring, cherry blossoms along the moat bloom beautifully, attracting crowds for hanami (flower viewing).

⑥ Feeling the History at Osaka Castle

The ancient structures you see today date back to the Tokugawa period.
The entire area is designated as a Special Historic Site, and many structures are registered as Important Cultural Properties.

The current Osaka Castle Keep is the third reconstruction, following the Toyotomi and Tokugawa eras, and it has stood for over 90 years since its revival.

Inside, the castle houses a museum featuring rich cultural artifacts related to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the Sengoku era, and Osaka Castle’s history.

Capture stunning photos with this historical masterpiece as your backdrop!
