Introducing the Popular Pre-Wedding Photo Location at Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall!

The bride embracing the groom
Hello to everyone reading our blog!
This time, we would like to introduce the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall, which opened on July 1, 1917, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Yokohama’s opening as a port, funded by donations from citizens, and now designated as an Important Cultural Property♪
Known affectionately as “Jack,” the hall is one of the Three Towers of Yokohama, alongside the “King” (Kanagawa Prefectural Government Building) and the “Queen” (Yokohama Customs). With its red-brick architectural beauty and iconic clock tower, it stands as a symbol of Yokohama.
In addition to stunning shots of the beautiful exterior, it also offers photo opportunities inside, where stained glass windows shine brightly◎!
The Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall offers the best of both outdoor and indoor photography.
Please stay with us until the end for the full introduction♡

Located on Nihon Odori Avenue, the area surrounding the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall itself has a Western-style cityscape.
Simply cross the pedestrian crosswalk in front of the building and head toward the hall, and you can capture photos that feel as if you are overseas!
One of the unique charms of the Memorial Hall is that it allows you to take extraordinary photos that beautifully combine the everyday with the extraordinary♡

It’s the perfect place to capture dreamy photos, just like a princess and prince gazing into each other’s eyes in front of a castle!

2.A Shot on the Spiral Staircase

At the grand spiral staircase beyond the main hall, you can capture the couple holding hands as they walk together!
The sight of the couple holding hands looks incredibly romantic♡
It will make you forget about the photoshoot and feel like a real prince and princess(^^♪
Both walking and sitting poses work beautifully here, giving you model-like, stylish shots!

The highlight of the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall is without a doubt photos taken in front of the stained glass!
Surrounded by the world created by the stained glass, you can enjoy a truly magical atmosphere that can only be experienced here♪
During the daytime, the glass sparkles with sunlight; in the evening, it glows warmly under indoor lights.
With its ever-changing expressions depending on the time and weather, the stained glass always provides the perfect moment to capture♡
4. Romantic in a Classical Setting

In the hall in front of the spiral staircase, you can take a romantic shot with your heads leaning together against the backdrop of classical window frames and warm lights♡
By adjusting the lighting, you can capture not only bright and cheerful photos but also a more mature, elegant look!

With both outdoor and indoor settings, it is a location that can be enjoyed regardless of the weather, from morning until night!
By the way… there is a local legend called the “Yokohama Three Towers Story” that says if you visit all the spots where you can see the three towers — the King, Queen, and Jack — your wish will come true!♡
There are plaques and markers at these spots, so after your shoot, why not enjoy a date while reminiscing and exploring the Yokohama Three Towers Story together (’ω’)
