Today, we’re excited to share a pre-wedding photoshoot we did in the charming town of Gujo Hachiman in Gifu Prefecture.

Located in the heart of Gifu Prefecture, Gujo Hachiman is known for the crystal-clear Yoshida River, its preserved old townscape, and the iconic Gujo Hachiman Castle.
It’s also famous for the summer festival Gujo Odori, one of Japan’s longest dance festivals.
With cobblestone streets, traditional lattice-windowed townhouses, and red bridges, the town offers the perfect backdrop for couples in traditional Japanese attire.

A beautiful reconstructed wooden castle that sits proudly on a hilltop.
It pairs perfectly with shiromuku or iro-uchikake (bridal kimonos), creating a dignified, elegant atmosphere.
Stone walls and castle gates also make for striking photo spots.

② Yoshida River

A serene riverside location where you can hear the sound of flowing water.
