Known as “the gateway to the sea of Japan,” Ōsanbashi has over 130 years of history as a maritime entrance.
Today, it serves as one of Japan’s leading cruise ship terminals, welcoming ships from around the world.

It’s a special location where you can see luxurious cruise ships up close,
and a fantastic spot for wedding photos with breathtaking views of Yokohama Port and Minato Mirai ✨

Around 1894, the iron pier that preceded Yokohama Ōsanbashi was completed.
By 1964 (Showa 39), an international passenger terminal was completed in time for the Tokyo Olympics.
In 1989 (Heisei 1), renovation began due to aging, and the terminal’s design was opened to an international competition.
From 41 countries, 660 submissions were received, leaving a significant impact on the world of architecture.

The current design was created by Alejandro Zaera Polo from Spain and Farshid Moussavi from Iran.
The present Yokohama Ōsanbashi International Passenger Terminal was completed in 2002, and in 2021 it received the Good Design Long Life Design Award.

With its distinctive design, Ōsanbashi is loved by locals and tourists alike, making it a highly popular and well-loved spot.

Sunset and night-time shoots are extremely popular, offering luxurious photos of the cityscape.
From Ōsanbashi, you can see the Red Brick Warehouse, the giant Ferris wheel, and more, capturing Yokohama’s scenic views in your wedding photos!

As Ōsanbashi allows 24-hour photography, you can take photos in daylight, during sunset, or under the night lights, tailored to your preferred style.

Even if you’re not confident in posing, don’t worry!
The photographer will guide you, while experienced hair and makeup artists help you relax and enjoy the shoot.

The rooftop deck, called “Whale’s Back,” features wood decking and a lawn area, designed to evoke the ship’s deck and a natural, open-air space.
With perfect timing, you may see a cruise ship up close, with stunning views of Yokohama.
You can also enjoy views of the cityscape, and on the opposite side, the Yokohama Bay Bridge is visible!

The contrast of the natural wood deck against the blue sky creates a beautiful backdrop for both dresses and tuxedos, perfect for pre-wedding photography.

The “magic hour” right after sunset is a mesmerizing period when the sky shifts from orange to deep blue.
From Ōsanbashi, you can see the sky and sea blending, alongside Minato Mirai’s illuminated nightscape—truly breathtaking.

On the day of the photoshoot, guidance is provided either at our studio or at the location.

If visiting the studio:

• Arrive at our studio for hair and makeup

• Travel to the location with two staff members (photographer + hair/makeup)

  2. Travel by taxi (cost borne by the client)

If meeting at the location:

• Travel by train or car

• Choose how to receive your outfits:

  1. Pick up at the studio by the day before

  2. Delivery to home up to three days before the shoot (shipping fee applies)
