Central Public Hall – A Film-Set-Like Photo Spot Highlighted by Red Bricks

This time, we’re introducing Central Public Hall, a standout location for Western-style pre-wedding photos, known for its striking red brick exterior.
Built in November 1918, Central Public Hall boasts over 100 years of history and is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
Isn’t it amazing to have the chance to do pre-wedding photography in such a historic building?

Inside, you can still find original chandeliers and other features that reflect its history.
Recommended spots include the Special Room with its large arched stained-glass windows and the elegant Middle Assembly Room with white walls, which looks like a movie set.

Not only inside, but the area around the hall also offers many charming photo spots, allowing for a variety of shots—a stylish and convenient location.
Let’s take a closer look at the different backgrounds you can enjoy!

① Street Trees Next to Central Public Hall

Capture a soft light and the gentle greenery of the street trees.
For night shoots starting in the evening, the contrast of light and shadow between the trees creates a chic, cinematic look.
It’s also a bonus to capture both dusk and nighttime shots in one session!

② Sitting on Nearby Steps for a “Date Photo”

Even simply sitting on the stairs in your gown and tuxedo creates a stylish, romantic vibe.
Casual off-shot photos, like chatting in a relaxed “date” mode, are highly recommended.
Bring props such as sunglasses for a fun touch ♡

③ Lush Green Lawn Spots

Although Central Public Hall is often imagined with its building as a backdrop, there’s also a hidden grassy area!
The vibrant greenery adds variety and a cute touch to your photos.
You can enjoy both architectural and natural scenery.

④ The Grand and Dramatic Front Entrance

The front entrance is the hall’s iconic feature.
Standing here in Western attire feels like stepping into a movie scene, immediately adding a narrative to your photos.

⑤ In Front of the Stately Building

On the left side of the hall, you’ll find small steps and a grand wooden door.
The patina on the century-old steps and the weathered walls and door create a stylish, lived-in look for your photos.

⑥ Large Square in Front of the Hall

Originally a gathering place for large events, the plaza in front of the hall still features well-maintained trees and chic shops.
At night, the area is beautifully illuminated, providing a stunning backdrop for photos.

⑦ Winter Illuminations as a Backdrop

During winter, the hall is decorated with Christmas illuminations.
Many people have visited Nakanoshima during the holiday season, making it a sentimental location for capturing dress photos.

⑧ Riverfront Path for a Different Vibe

A quieter spot along the river allows for props or even proposal photos without worrying about crowds.
This location offers a contrasting mood to the red brick and illuminated shots.

⑨ Using Illuminations for a Cool Effect

The semi-circular back staircase of the hall adds a stylish Western touch.
Blue illumination creates a sophisticated, cool atmosphere in your photos.

⑩ Romantic Night Shots Along the River

Along the river near the hall, you can capture the sparkling water and city lights in the background.
Blurring the city lights behind the couple creates a beautiful, romantic effect.
