Showa Memorial Park: Popular Pre-Wedding Location Photos

Hello to everyone reading our blog!

Today, we’d like to introduce photoshoots at Showa Memorial Park, located in Tachikawa City, Tokyo (^^)/
Opened in 1983 to commemorate the 50th year of Emperor Showa’s reign, this national park spans an area equivalent to about 40 Tokyo Domes.

You can enjoy seasonal flowers such as tulips, sunflowers, and cosmos!
It’s also a popular date spot, so many of you may have heard of it or even visited before.
Why not enjoy a date in the park after your photoshoot? ♡

Let’s take a closer look at ShowaMemorial Park!
We hope you enjoy reading to the end.

① On the Bridge at the Stream Plaza

The tulip garden, representing the park in spring, was designed under the guidance of the former director of Keukenhof in the Netherlands, following the original design style.

There is a small bridge in the Stream Plaza.
Walking across this flower-surrounded bridge makes for incredibly cute, storybook-like photos ♡

You can take photos at various spots while strolling through the park!

② With Seasonal Flowers

Many of you may have seen photos of it before—Showa Memorial Park is famous for its beautiful flowers.
In spring, tulips and nemophila bloom; in summer, sunflowers and hydrangeas; in autumn, cosmos flowers. Each season offers a unique floral display!

You can take photos surrounded by flowers across the park’s vast grounds.
How about capturing shots surrounded by your favorite blooms? (^^)

③ In Front of a Large Tree

While the flowers are stunning, the park also offers spacious green areas.
In the center of the park is Minna no Harappa (“Everyone’s Meadow”), featuring a single large tree—perfect for simple, natural-looking photos.

Visitors enjoy sports or take breaks here, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Surrounded by greenery, the couple will naturally smile (^^)

④ Cherry Blossom Garden & Ginkgo Tree Avenue

Although many associate Showa Memorial Park with flower fields, cherry blossoms and autumn foliage are also spectacular!

The park has 31 varieties of cherry trees, totaling about 1,500 trees.
Shooting while enjoying the variety of cherry blossoms is fun and memorable (^^)

In autumn, you can also enjoy vibrant fall colors!
Ginkgo-lined streets and maple trees create a seasonal, picturesque backdrop for your photos.

⑤ The Main Spot: “Hana no Oka” (Flower Hill)

The largest flower field in the park, covering about 15,000㎡ (^^)/

In spring, poppies bloom; in autumn, cosmos flowers create a sweeping panorama.
You can take adorable photos in a sea of flowers.
This spot is perfect for flower lovers ♡

⑥ Minna no Harappa

There are also flower beds in Minna no Harappa!

Three flower areas (East, West, and South) bloom seasonally (^^)/
In spring, nemophila and rapeseed flowers; in summer, sunflowers.
You can capture photos in a space filled entirely with flowers.
