Okazaki Castle
Famous as the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The castle keep was reconstructed in 1959 as a 3-tier, 5-story structure and was later selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Castles in 2006.

Tatsuki Shrine
Located right next to the castle. According to legend, on the morning of Ieyasu’s birth, a golden dragon appeared above the castle, summoning clouds and wind before ascending to the heavens.
The sacred Ryū-no-I well is said to have sprung forth at that time, offering blessings for success, good fortune, safe childbirth, and protection from misfortune.

Tea Rooms: Oishoan & Jonantei
Relax while enjoying seasonal views of Okazaki Park and its Japanese gardens. Inside, the tea rooms provide a calm, refined atmosphere, while the veranda offers perfect photo opportunities with the gardens as a backdrop.
